Roman Candle Effects

Bi-colour Comet
A rising comet whose peak is a distincly different colour. For example, a white comet immediately preceded in its ascent by a bright red globe, like a red lollipop on a white stick
Bombette plus Comet
A rising comet from which a bombette shell explodes once the comet has reached its apex.
Comet
A rising comet or tail effect. Comets are sustained effects. Gold willow, gold rain, kamuro, white flitter, and yellow flitter types achieve excellent altitude.
Volcano
A vertical projection of colour stars, like a geyser spraying water. Volcanoes are available in colour varieties, or "effect" varieties, such as tourbillons or screamers.
Volcano with Report
A vertical projection of effects, such as tourbillons or serpents, that concludes with a discharge of reports.
Volcano plus Comet
Combines a colour volcano with a comet. The volcano rises out of the candle followed by the comet shooting upward through it.
Whistles with Lights
Loud, bright, rising silver whistle effects accompanied by colour stars.
Crackling Volcano and Comet
Loud crackling noise accompanies a colour comet's ascent.

Shells

Aquatic Shells
Shells which discharge their effects from the surface of a body of water. A level 2 supervisor's license is required for the purchase and discharge of aquatic shells.
Bi-Colour Rays
Similar in look to a bi-colour comet. Instead of the effect rising from ground however, many bi-colour comets emerge from the shell at altitude, shooting out in different directions.
Chrysanthemum
A flower-like appearance with a distinctly different coloured interior and exterior. The colour of the outer "petals" change while the center of the "flower" remains a constant colour.

Colour Shells

Available in a variety of colours

Colour-Change
An effect in which the colour of the stars change as the effect expands outward.
Gold Glitter with Colour Stars
An effect that reveals a cloud of gold glitter interspersed with bright coloured stars.
Gold Strobe with Colour Stars
A dense cloud of gold strobe stars interspersed with magnesium stars of a different colour.
Gold Snow Serpents
Large golden rain drops trail downwards, exploding into reports as the effect ends.
Gold Willow / Rain
A long-lasting effect resembling the top of a palm tree as it effect slowly trails downward.
Hummers
A bright, humming, "swimming fish"-like effect. Can also be accompanied by colour stars.
Kamuro
Resembles a giant spider web or willow tree. Characterized by its unique colour (gold / silver glitter) and its long "hang" time as it slowly unfolds in the sky.
Peony with Rays
A colour shell with bright white rays emanating outward from the center of the colour effect.
Peony with Tail
A colour shell preceded in its ascent by a rising colour comet.
Peony with Tourbillons
A colour shell that releases tourbillons from its center.
Saturn
A chrysanthemum surrounded by a colour ring, named after the planet which it resembles.
Screamers
A bright, loud "screaming" effect.
Serpents
A visual effect that resembles swimming fish. Serpents are also available with a report.
SFX Cardboard Shell
A shell that combines colour stars with either tourbillons, whistles, or serpents. The effect concludes with a discharge of reports. (100mm only)
Shooting Stars
The stars emitted by the effect suspend in the sky when they first appear, and then accelerate outward at a very rapid pace. A very unique effect.
Special FX
This shell combines a dense pattern of colour stars with an effect such as tourbillons, serpents, or whistles. The effect can also conclude with a report. Available only in 100mm (4").
Strobe
A long-lasting effect distinguished by the intermittent flashing of its stars. It is characterized by a softer "break" to allow for a more dense dispersion of stars. Available with colours and/or noise effects.
Titanium Report
A loud noise effect accompanied by a bright flash of light. Often fired in groups, titanium reports are usually used to announce the beginning and/or end of a display.
Tourbillons
A grouping of flashing lights that spin as they descend from altitude. Tourbillons are also available with a report. Special effect tourbillons combine tourbillons with colour lights.
Volcano
A vertical projection of colour or colour-changing stars directly from the mortar, like a geyser spraying water. Volcanoes are available in either "colour" or "effect" varieties.
Weeping Willow
A rising golden tail topped by a golden palm. The final effect resembles a giant palm tree.
Whistles
A bright, loud whistling "swimming fish" effect. Whistles are also available with a report.

Some colours may not be available in certain calibers. Specifically selected colours and effects are subject to availability.
